In the transport area we undertake research and consulting in the areas of heavy vehicles, telematics, transport policy, transport modelling, sustainable transport, traffic operations and transport economics.
ARRB applies best practice knowledge and latest research outcomes relating to infrastructure to advise on road asset management, pavements and materials, parking operations and policy, concrete and bridge assessments.
The interaction of people and vehicles on the road network can have safety consequences, hence ARRB has significant capability in road safety engineering (including road safety auditing and speed management), road user behaviour, accident investigation, fleet safety and risk management. In addition to research and consulting services, ARRB also has a suite of tools and products available to practitioners to ensure consistency in the application of best practice.
